        George Orwell's Animal Farm is a satirical allegory that exposes the corrupting influence of power and the inevitable betrayal of revolutionary ideals. Through a Marxist lens, the novel offers a scathing critique of the Soviet Union under Stalin, highlighting the stark contrast between the utopian aspirations of communism and its dystopian reality.      The novel's initial revolution, inspired by Old Major's dream of a classless society, mirrors the Bolshevik Revolution . However, as the pigs, led by the manipulative Napoleon, seize power, they gradually erode the principles of equality and fraternity. The pigs' opulent lifestyle and oppressive rule over the other animals parallel the Soviet elite's exploitation of the working class.  Orwell employs language as a tool of control, as the pigs manipulate the Seven Commandments to justify their actions.
